The illustration was created for a Chinese textbook interior space for high-school educators and students in Taiwan. The artwork is presented in lesson 11 Dream of Genius by Eileen Chang. The request was to show an overall visual that could summarize the essay.

The angle I chose to visualize was the author’s helplessness as a grown woman looking back; which I personally felt the strongest emotional connection with.
